I've booted up my Macbook Air using the power + option key, went into the disc utility, wiped the disc, and am now installing a fresh version of Mac OS X Lion.

Once that is all done, do I need to do anything else? Is there any sort of de-authorization that I will need to do, or does wiping the hard drive fix me up on that end of things?

When you wiped the disk, did you use one of the security options in disk utility, like zero everything out, or 7-way random write or anything like that? That's about all I can think of.
