If you're anything like me, you probably only downloaded a few apps from the Mac App Store, if any at all. The only apps I downloaded in the last four years of owning a Mac were the Office 365 apps. The Mac App Store just seems to be less popular or not as many "useful" apps compared to the iOS App Store.

Has this improved at all now that Apple Silicon Macs have been around for awhile and can run iOS apps? Have developers embraced this and added support to their apps to run on a Mac? Does anyone actually run iOS apps on their Mac, or was it mostly hype? I'm still on an Intel-based Mac, so probably can't see what's available for Apple Silicon Macs.

For example, can you run apps like Netflix, Hulu, History Channel, or Facebook on the Mac? I get that most iOS apps are probably better used on the iPhone and iPad, and the ones I mentioned are probably best sticking with the web/browser. I do somewhat miss having these in their own apps like I was able to in Windows 10 several years ago, so this just got me curious.
