Have MBP 15, Buying 13 as additional - Move files?

I've got an early 2010 MBP 15 and in about 1 week I will be buying a new MBP 13.

All the software I have purchased (like 1password and others) are multi-license volumes.

What I would like to do is just copy over everything from the 15 to the 13, applications, files, settings.

Would I just use Migration Assistant for this?

I'm also running full disk encryption (CheckPoint FDE). Will this matter?
