Have to always force restart MBP 2015 with catalina after closing lid

Any ideas on how to fix this. Very annoying since upgrading

-I am forced to restart every time after closing my MBP as it hangs with no log in window upon opening lid

Also, with this update, the mbp Can not find/connect to hotspots such as starbucks
