Have to Tap 2X on a cold start

Hi was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

After a 'cold' unlocking of iPhone and then going to my favorites to visit when I tap on a favorite I have to tap it twice for the favorite to open.

After iPhone is unlocked and opened tapping twice isn't necessary.

Just wanted to make sure my device is ok.

What I mean is iPhone goes in sleep mode then when I'm ready to use it after a while.

Hit home button, slide to unlock, open up safari, go to favs, then have to tap the fav twice only after iPhone has been on sleep for a while. Once it starts to get rolling it seems ok.
