Have two Iphone 3GS and want to use the from apple

so i was one of the premier customer that got screwed by att cuz they ship the phone 2day instead of overnight. luckily i ordered another phone from apple using an upgrade for another line. my brother that was gonna use the phone apple will use the one from att. my question is can i use the phone that comes earlier with my sim card? will it screw up anything during the activation process?

You don't swap the SIMs. When you get the iPhone you wish to use, just connect it to iTunes and it will activate the SIM with your information.

That's not true. It will have all his information, but not his number. It will be his brother's number. He then has to switch SIM cards and call ATT telling them which IMEI should be associated with which line on his plan.
