Here's my story...
Luckily I was able to get my space grey sport available to ship in the first batch
I love it, it's light and quite low-profile looking

After the try on, and all the pics online
I decided to get an extra Milanese loop and sadly it shipped not until June.

I am happy to get the watch in the coming Friday (for the best of luck) but also sad to get the Milanese loop in June
I really hope I can get earlier!!!!!

Yeah I had a similar experience. I bought me and my girlfriend a watch. Mine is the 42mm Watch with the black sport band, hers is the 38mm Watch Sport with the pink band.

Went to try it on and fell in love with the Milanese. I'll buy it when its in stores. I'll be OK with the sport band because I primarily want to use the watch when I workout.

Had not pre-ordered because I wanted to try them on first and I am glad I did. Was all set to get the SS watch with the link bracelet, but then tried on the Space Gray Sport watch with the black sports band and actually preferred it over the stainless steel. Im not going to get a nice band for it though. For dressier occasions, I am going to still wear my nice mechanical watch. I am just as happy with my choice and the $700 bonus savings over my original choice was nice! Now the wait.

The 42mm is small compared to my existing 44mm watch. I'm not sure if I will wait for a dial increase in the future. I may pass on it.

Me too.
I really liked the Milanese loop and the SS space black version.
I also found that it was easier to use than I thought (after reading the reviews) in terms of my fat fingers being able to use it.

I wish I ordered SS instead of SG but I'm telling myself it's ok because it's Rev A and I might not like it, and if I do I'll be getting another at some point

Don't think v2 will be available until 2018. there is a thread on here, where one of the members talking to one of the Apple specialist about AW. And according to the specialist, Apple don't plan to come out with v2 2019 or later. Something about giving customers some time to enjoy the AW experience and getting there moneys worth. Especially customers who bought the eidtion models. If u think about it, it make sense. I had a feeling that they would do this anyway, if there is some truth this.

Ordered a SS with black sport band, 42mm. Went for a try on the next day, but the only thing they had was the Sport watch with black sport band. The fit was great, and I did see some SS with black sport band in the fixed displays. They looked great, so I am fine with my order and, like every other early preorderer, hoping it comes on the 24th!

p.s. haven't back here since I was waiting for my 27" late 2012, super thin iMac! It's still going strong!!! But maybe I will be tempted when the 8k's come out!

I kinda agree that maybe I'll get a more expensive choice for the next generation.
But it's cool to get the first generation!

Same situation here. I ordered the SG and SS. I cancelled the SS thinking I wanted the SG. But after my try on appointments I had a change of heart and now would like the SS. Now I have to wait till June. Not sure I'll keep the SG.

I've ordered a Space Grey Sports Watch and got into the very first delivery window (I hope) and went to try it on yesterday. I have to say I'm very happy with my choice but I also tried on a few other bands. My favorite being the black leather loop. But then I think to myself can I justify paying another £129 for a Strap.... I'm pretty certain when they become available in my local store I will go buy one though....
