I have taken up grass cutting as a stopgap measure until the economy improves in California. I'm actually quite good at it, but with the weather turning dry and hot, the grass is simply not growing anymore. Trying to convince people that their tall dried out dead grass would actually look better being cut flush with the ground is a tough sell. They figure if it's all dried out and dead, there's no point in cutting it. I actually think that dried out straw colored grass looks better cut flush with the ground than leaving it overgrown, but I'm the exception and I know it.
