so i was listening to the radio before and they were talking to people who have been mistaken for celebrities while they have been out and about so was just wondering have you ever been mistaken for someone else?

i a few weeks ago got called Dylan for some reason by some guy when my name is not Dylan.

True story. Got off the plane, carrying my guitar and one overnight bag. Two young ladies--very attractive I might add--- are some distance away. One of them notices me and screams, "It's him, it's him!!!" They frantically run to me, and she says, "Can we have you autograph?!?" I went along with this of course, but had absolutely no idea as to who they thought I was. And after a few seconds, the original screaming girl spies me very closely and says disappointedly, "It's not him!" And off they disappeared. I never found out who they thought I was. But for a brief moment, I was definitely somebody!

Many years ago, my husband was in an elevator in Japan, and noticed that everyone else was looking at him, tittering, and whispering to each other. Finally, one of them pointed at him and said "Jack Nicholson!".

He looks nothing like Jack Nicholson.

People mistake me for someone who gives a **** all the time.

There's been a few occasions I've been out where someone's asked for my autograph. Each time I've been drunk in a social setting, so I did it.

When I was in college, folks would regularly say things to me like, "Saw you riding your motorcycle yesterday," or "Saw you at the Union this afternoon." Needless to say I neither had a motorcycle or was at the Union.

This happened enough times that I finally figured out that there was someone running around campus that looked a lot like me. I never did figure out who this person was or get a chance to meet them...

Hey, that's my story! Well, minus the motorcycle. And, well, it only happened once. So the person says, "Oh, no, you're not _____ but you could be twins."

Yes, but in a different respect.

When I was in Middle School there was this teachers aid who always thought my name was Harry. My name is Ari, preferably pronounced with a soft "ah" but too often people pronounce it was a hard "a" as in "air or harry".

Ari is common Hebrew name but this woman did not get it and everyone just laughed a long with it. I grew up in an area with hardly any Jewish people so I guess she was not familiar with the name.

I AM NOT HARRY.

Je ne suis pas harry!

Can't say I can recall anything barbaric. I've been told that I look like someone else, But I've never been mistaken as someone else.

When I was younger (8) and had my plastic surgeries (7 surgeries in all) finished after bring hit by that truck ( when I was seven) and kids in camp thought I looked like some younger TV star brother. Girls in high school always thought I was adopted because I never looked liked my brothers.

Toss up a photo.

... of you.
No problem. Here a quick selfie that I took this morning on my iPhone:

Excuse the sloppy hair, but I was in a real hurry.
