It is ok- u can talk about denting the phone.
A year or two ago our youngest (like 4years old) was playing with the ipad 2 in the walmart shopping cart. He had been playing the Star Wars Lightsaber App and was swinging the ipad around and hit it on the side of the cart- not there is a dent on the right side and right corner of the ipad :-(
 
Yes, I bought an iPhone 5 on launch day, left the store with the phone in my pocket; returned 20 minutes later to get a replacement phone because sometime in that 20 minutes (still don't know why), the screen cracked at the home button. Never dropped the phone and there wasn't anything else in my pocket.

The store replaced it free of charge (I was fully expecting to pay for it).

Otherwise I've dropped my phones, but never cracked the screen.
 
Just one. iPhone 5 in a Candyshell case. It fell out of my shirt pocket as I pulled the shirt out of a gym bag. It landed flat face down on the smooth concrete locker room floor and shattered the screen. I've dropped all the iPhones I've had a couple of times but I keep them in cases and sell them in mint condition.
 
Yes. iPhone 4S. I had it laying in my lap in the car. Totally forgot it was there as I stepped out and it fell right on its face. Bam! Spiderweb screen! Went to the apple store that day. 50 bucks later (apple care) I had a new replacement iPhone.


6 months later, same thing. iPhone on lap in car, got out and stood up... Heard it scrape against the asphalt. The back glass pane was scratched really hard. Ordered a back replacement, swapped it. Bam.. She was sexy again!

I want to go naked with my 5s but I have the speck candy shell card case. So this is technically my wallet now.

Have only dropped one phone (Palm Pre) and cracked it out of like 20 in the past 5 years.
 
I have never cracked the screen of any smartphone I have owned. I have scratched one, but never cracked one.
 
My wife cracked her iPhone 4S screen, and we wound up using one of those kiosk deals to get the screen replaced because we were too stupid to have insurance or applecare.

The kiosk screen crapped out, they replaced it, it crapped out again, we ended up upgrading her phone and buying insurance. :)
 
had the 4 and now the 5 since launch and never a broken screen. 4 did get a couple minor chips on the top edge from a drop.
