This thread's purpose is simply to try and get a rough estimate or people who have been successful jailbreaking their iPod Touchs.

Yes, I have "jailbreaked" my iPod touch. Although something tells me that "jailbreaked" was not the word you were looking for. :D

My god I hate it when people make polls (and by the way, how the hell do you do that) that don't have the options you need. I think it would have been common sense to put an option saying "I will, once it becomes easier" or something along those lines.

I think the iPhone is ripe for this, but the iPod touch is for listening to music, playing video and added bonus of surfing. I personally am going to leave my iPod touch as a virgin and let Apple decide.

I might do it, however there is only one app interesting for me - Google maps.

maps app is cool. beats the hell out of anything you could do on "the old touch"

My iPod Touch is not jailbroken .... but after seeing some of the screen shots in the other thread .... I'm tempted!
SFK

Go for it!!! you wont be disappointed when you jailbreak and start installing apps, and if you have fairly good communication skills, people here will be more than willing to guide you along!

I wasn't going to, but I did, and i must say, the integration between mail, google maps and the address book is frikken amazing. Us touch users were really missing out before

Well, I attempted, and failed with the (in)famous -18 error

Thankfully I could restore the IPT after some reset(s)...

Shall give it another try

I'm a little confused by the current guide... what is the "root" portion of my computer? I want to do it though, I will try after school.
