Hi All,

What happens if I have an iPhone 6 Plus that supports 802.11ac and an iMac that only supports 802.11n on the same 5Ghz network? Does this cause the router to only broadcast in "n" mode or does it still connect to my iPhone in "ac" mode and iMac in "n" mode.

I have an Airport Extreme. I'm not even sure if my question makes sense as I don't fully understand exactly how the signals work. I know we can't limit radio mode anymore on the new AC units.

Thanks for your help.
