Having a problem ripping new Smurfs movie to iMac

I am trying rip the Smurfs DVD to my iMac. It's starts to configure it but gets stuck on 13of 23. Does anyone know of a program that will rip this movie?

Agreed. Ripit has yet to fail me even when Handbrake and others get stuck by the anti-ripping garbage they stick on the discs.

I downloaded Ripit and it worked but it ripped it as a .dvdmedia document. How can I convert that to play on my iPad? Or is there a setting to rip it to a .m4v?

oh hang on there, if you compress instead of rip, it will give you a mp4 ready to go.

but get FLV crunch anyways, its a good tool.

I ran into this problem too when ripping this movie w/ handbrake. i left it on 13 for 20 min and it finally moved on to 14. When it was done scanning it picked title 15 as the movie, probably because it was the longest one. That title was over 4 hours long! Since the movie is 103 min, I picked title 13 (the one it was sticking on) because it was 103 min long. I'm encoding right now. I'll let you know how it turns out.
