Something is wrong with my Finder.app. I have custom layouts for applications but they keep getting reset. Sometimes it happens when I use an app to select a file. Sometimes it happens when I reboot. Sometimes it happens when I use google chrome to upload files.
These were neatly laid out, and then everything changed when the mountain lion attacked.
