I was very tempted to replace my 5-year old Moto 360 watch with an Apple Watch during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. But I'm still not in love with the shape of the Apple watch, and prefer the classic round shape look of Samsung watches. Since Moto 360 was discontinued, Samsung Galaxy Active watch seems to be my next best bet.

Was wondering, if there was anyone here that has an iPhone that has a non-Apple smart watch? I don't really use my smartwatch for the phone features like texting or calls, but for practical stuff like (telling time lol, stopwatch, timer, alarm, reminder, etc). However, one thing that I really want is music playback controls. I know the Galaxy smartwatch can connect to an iPhone, but I don't expect all the features to sync. But I was hoping at least, if I have the smartwatch, I can skip songs while I'm running or working out with the watch. Obviously if I had an Apple Watch, it would be perfect.

But my personal set up is weird. My main phone is a Note 8, my backup phone I take with me is an iPhone 8+. I use the iPhone for camera, facetiming, music, note typing. I use the Note 8 for browsing the web and regular phone stuff because I still prefer the Android UI for stuff like that (especially youtube viewing). Just works better this way for me.
