I don’t know if anybody here watches the Disney+ show Ms. Marvel on the ATV 4K on a 4K TV. I'm having a strange issue with just this show, it seems. When I play an episode, it is extremely dark.

However, if I pause the show and utilize the app manager on the Apple TV to show the open apps, the picture brightens considerably. However, if I restart the show from the open app manager, it gets dark again.

I had this issue on the first and the third episodes of the series. It didn’t seem to happen during the second episode. I tried playing the episode through the Disney+ app on my TV's internal D+ app and I saw the same thing. The picture looks extraordinarily dark. Ms. Marvel is supposed to be this bright and colorful show and what I’m seeing is anything but bright and colorful.

I played the trailer for the show and it looks okay. I also played an episode from Monsters at Work and it looked great.

So it seems as if there is an issue with the show itself but wanted to see if anyone else was seeing this.

Thanks for any thoughts.

It's strange as it's the only show i have this issue with. As I said, Monsters at Work looked fantastic and other D+ shows looked excellent as well. There just seems to be something specific to Ms. Marvel.

In the past when I have had both of those settings enabled, I got fairly severe lip sync issues. So, I don't think that is the problem. Currently, I have Dynamic Range enabled and Frame Rate disabled.
