Long time lurker of the forums here nice to meet you all.

I've been following since I got my MBA M1 back in December the developments of macOS Big Sur and the issue these computers have with the external monitors. I was hoping finally with the 11.3 release my issues with external monitors could be solved but I guess I was wrong.

So now I come to you to ask for your help if you know a workaround or something I can use in the meantime.

Right now my setup consists of the M1 MBA and this one is connected via USB-C to HDMI cable to a Panasonic 4K TV. The video out comes out correctly, however, my issue is that i'm limited to 30hz no matter what resolution I choose it's always defaulted to this refresh rate.

I've tried adjusting the refresh rate manually by forcing it through the monitor settings "hidden" settings by pressing the Option Key + Clicking on the Scale button to enable the full resolutions list. Tested with each one of the resolutions starting from 720p up to 4k and all of them have 30hz as the max refresh rate.

I have a USB-C hub which also has an HDMI output and tried connecting it to the TV with a standard HDMI cable and the issue is the same.

This tv is capable of 4K60FPS as it's a HX700 is a very recent model so I don't think is an issue with the TV per se. So at this point i'm a little disheartened and out of ideas of what I can do to fix this...

Do you have any idea or any software / workaround you can recommend me to try with 11.3 to force 60hz? I really want this speed as sadly 30hz affects the framerate and game speed of certain games and emulators I use and I wanted to enjoy on a bigger screen.
