Having problem with Hotmail on mail application

Im new to mac (2days lol) and having a problem with mac mailing application. I have an Hotmail account and have linked it correctly, however when i delete a message from the application it is not being removed from the server so i have to go through it all again on the hotmail site which seems very pointless... is there any setting or guides that are around to resolve this problem.

I think it has to do that hotmail does not suport IMAP so there is no sync between them. That is why I use Gmail.

Hotmail does not support this yet. However they are bringing out syncing soon, in line with their new range of Windows Phone 7. Once this feature is unlocked hopefully it can be used with your Mail application.
