Is anyone else having problems updating apps? I was occasionally getting an issue over the past week where I would tap on update on the app store on my iPhone and it would spin then go back to update without updating the app. After a couple attempts the apps would update. This was also happening on my iPad. Today, I can't get anything to update. I have 10 app updates waiting, I tap Update All or individually and the same thing happens, I get the spinning icon then it reverts back to Update with no update happening. Tried rebooting the phone, signing out of App Store and back in etc. Still exactly the same.

Nope, everything else is fine. Can purchase new apps, check store balance, stream content and do large file transfers. Only issue is updating existing apps.

Thanks. Yup, I think it is something on the App Store side as everything else is working fine. Did restart my router after your last post just in case there was something funky going on there but the issue remains. Will see if it changes tomorrow.

I NEVER update my apps anymore. I have 29 pending updates & I'll never update them. Over the years of using iOS apps, I've never found an updated app worth installing except for the rare malfunctioning one. More times than not (a lot more times than not) app updates break functionality of things that used to work fine, introduce new bugs and often mess with a familiar but fine interface.
I've lost count the number of times "updating an app" has introduced new problems that didn't exist before.
I'll never do it again. The App Store is pretty much dead to me. Nothing I need from there anymore.

wow i thought i was the only one! i never update my apps neither i’m really not interested i don’t see big changes in apps updates

Well tried today and still the same. Weird thing is this also affects the wife and kids iPads. I also tried my iPhone on cellular and the issue persists so it isn't device or Wifi specific. I can purchase and download new apps though, only updates are affected. Will leave it a couple of days and see. Could well be an issue once iOS 13 drops for those who don't update their apps as i'm sure some apps will be broken and require an update.
