I have a 2016 TB MBP, and having problems with a bluetooth mouse.

I've tried everything on this list: Experiencing Bluetooth problems on your Mac? Try this and Method 4 of resetting the bluetooth module worked the best, but only lasted about 5 days and now it's malfunctioning again. I have continuously tried unpairing and re-pairing which doesn't work either.

The cursor will skip, lag, and be generally very inaccurate. I tested the mouse on a PC and it worked flawlessly.

I use Beats headphones with the MBP all the time which works flawlessly, so I don't believe my bluetooth controller is faulty, although I won't rule it out.

For reference, this is the mouse I have: TeckNet Bluetooth Mouse which some reviews specifically mention it works well with their Mac.

From my experience with my 2016 tbMBP, it appears to be a problem when connecting multiple Bluetooth devices or multiple types of Bluetooth devices. I have a Logitech K811 keyboard and MX Master wireless mouse connected via Bluetooth. The keyboard is flawless 100% of the time. However, the mouse skips and lags every so often. And once or twice per week it drops connection, and I have to pair again via Bluetooth. If I connect wireless headphones (my cheap QY7s or my son's AirPods), the mouse performance gets much worse and the keyboard starts to act up as well (typed letters missed, need to press delete or return a couple of times, etc.). For reference, my Dell Latitude 6440 (circa late 2013) works perfectly with all three of these devices paired via Bluetooth. No hiccups, skips, lags, etc.

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but at least you are not alone in your Bluetooth struggles. Hopefully, this is a software issue that can be corrected in a future macOS update.

Bluetooth mice are just a pain. I never use them on any platform. I prefer wired of a dedicated connection like a logitech usb wireless connector.

Try turning off WiFi and see what happens. Bluetooth and WiFi share the 2.4 ghz band, which is a problem sometimes for newer MacBooks. You may try switching to 5 ghz if that’s an option.
