I started playing Crysis last week with the settings on HIGH and 1600x1200 resolution. It played great for the first day or so and then problems started to occur. After playing for about 3 hours yesterday the frame rate dropped to about 10FPS. Thinking it was heat I ran a program that checked my GPU the temps ran around 50 (presumably C) not too high.
I continued to play the game and as I progressed through the levels the problem got worse. When doing an F5 to save a game it would lock up and eventually I had to restart the computer. Now when saving a game it locks up and eventually kicks me back to the desktop. I have dropped the resolution to 1240 x 1068 and the low frame rate has seem to have abated but the save game problem is still there. If I hit ESC and do a SAVE game action and try to overwrite a previous game it locks up again.
I'm getting really frustrated with this game. Anyone having similar problems?
