Having problems with iChat

I am having an issue with iChat where if I try to log on it seems to log on and then off very quickly, multiple times, and then tell me that I have been logged out due to too much activity too quickly. This seems to only happen at my house and not at say my girlfriends house. All my other internet activity seems to work fine. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
