Having problems with iPhone 2G OS 3.1 and Public Wifi

Recently I updated my iPhone 2G to OS 3.1 and since then when I accessed those public Wifi that requires log in through a web page, I was doomed.

Does any of you have a similar problem or is it just me?

Do you have any idea how I can overcome this?
