Having to log in repeatedly

My wife's Macbook has started frequently requiring her to re-enter her password and re-log in. This started about a month ago after many years of this never having happened. Truthfully she doesn't mind it too much but as a dutiful husband I thought I should ask -- why do you think this is happening and what could she do about it? Thanks.

Login to iCloud? Log into the user account? How about the keychain "login"? If it's the last, this may help https://support.apple.com/HT201609

My Mac has stopped asking me to log in at all... Good thing I don't need to take it anywhere.
