I'm tying to copy a DVD for my step mom for personal use, and I was able to pull a video_ts using mactheripper and now would like to put it on a new DVD, and am trying to use toast titanium to burn it but I keep getting burn errors. I haven't upgraded to 8.03 yet, would that fix the problem, I'm working on upgrading but don't want to keep wasting disks, does anyone know how I might fix this?

thanks for your help!

First off, what version of MTR are you using? If it's 2.66, you really need to update. Head over to the MTR forums to find out how.

Secondly, burning the VIDEO_TS folder straight to disk doesn't work for a lot of newer releases (ones with ARccOS junk cells and whatnot). A trick around this is to first create an ISO image from the VIDEO_TS folder (which you can do in Toast), then using 'copy from image file' in Toast burn that ISO image to your blank DVD.

isn't 2.66 the newest version?

2.66 is several years out of date. Current version is 3.14m (but it's distributed differently than 2.66 was, thanks in part to the DMCA). You have to read the instructions on the ripdifferent.com boards on how to get the latest version.

I really appreciate your help, do you mind answering my question above?
