Hello, I recently tried to partition my HDD with Boot Camp. I received an error saying the disc could not be partitioned and I needed to verify/repair disk. So I opened Disk Utility and tried to verify the disk, until i got another error message saying, Filesystem verify or repair failed. I am completely stumped on how to fix this problem, so any input would be appreciated. By the way, I am running a 2009 MBP still using 10.5.

I had the same issue. You need to format the drive and only then it will work.
