Having trouble with Digital Touch

So when I got my watch, I got all excited and tried to send my wife a preemptive Digital Touch, before she had received and paired her Watch. When I tried to do that, the Digital Touch icon under her contact disappeared. Now she has her watch set up, but I can't seem to get it back. Ideas?

Edit: She has hers set up and paired, but I don't know if she's added me to her contact wheel. Could that be it?

remove and readd

remove here as a friend then re-add her back. That should work

Follow up: Removing and re-adding her did not work, but as soon as she sent me a digital touch, it fixed the issue.
