Having trouble with iTunes 7.1 update

My MacBook CD keeps giving me the following error:

Make sure you have permission to write to /Library/Caches/
com.apple.SoftwareUpdate/content/downloads/17/30/061-2880/
tHfnQTj2MtmzqR3yLSDSmCdgw6mjqMshdX, then try again.

I've repaired permissions and still no luck. Any suggestions?

Try going into the /Library/Caches folder and deleting or moving the com.apple.SoftwareUpdate folder. Software Update should recreate its cache, and the problem you're experiencing should go away.
