I'm using a G5 mouse with my Macbook Pro and the mouse tracks funny. If I move the mouse slowly the pointer on screen tracks slower than it should, and if I start moving the mouse quicker, the pointer on the screen starts moving quicker than it should relative to how fast I'm moving the mouse. This is really obnoxious and I'm just wondering if this is a default option in OSX and if I can turn it off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mouse is pretty annoying on macs

Hey Jumpman, I'm experiencing the same issue. I recently purchased a Mac. On Windows the mouse doesn't accelerate / decelerate like it does on the Mac. I hate how the mouse pointer doesn't sync to the physical movement of the mouse. On another thread someone said to try a program called iMouseFix (http://lavacat.com/iMouseFix/index.html) which really didn't help (yet turning off acceleration helped a bit). Have you been able to fix your slow movement issue?
