Having trouble with newly bought 4S

I just bought a brand new iphone 4s 2 days ago. I am having trouble with my phone's receiver. The sound of person on other side of call, is very low, almost inaudible. Everytime, before taking a call, I have to either plug my earphones in or take it on speaker. I have decided to get my phone replaced asap. My concern is do I ask Service center guyz to open a new box packed iphone in front of me?? What if they give me a refurbished one? I certainly don't want to end up having a refurbished phone since I bought it 2 days back and plan to keep it for long usage.Any help? Thanks
