I have some unusual problems which I hope someone can help me with.

I'm currently using my spare Windows laptop to backup and download Apps and podcasts to iTunes (My main iTunes software is on my main laptop which is waiting to be repaired)

I did a backup on Tuesday which included transferring some music which I bought on my jailbroken 4th Gen iPod Touch (which is on iOS 4.3.3 as I've been too busy to upgrade to anything higher) itself and which after much difficulty got transferred to my laptop.

The first weird problem is that my iPod Touch is still saying that it's practically running out of space even though iTunes itself says there's about 10GB of space left on my device and the Music app is saying that there's no content at all as well.

The second and main weird problem is that I'm now getting the following message "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod "[NAME]'s iPod". Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings." after connecting my iPod Touch to the laptop itself even though I had no problems with connecting it previously until Wednesday evening.

This concerns me greatly as I definitely backed it up more than once for safekeeping and I don't want to have to do a reset and be forced to upgrade to iOS 6 then downgrade to iOS 5 and reinstall all my Apps and everything after jailbreaking it again.

Basically, the device itself works fine, it's just these problems that are making me worry about what's apparently gone wrong, especially with the message I got when connecting my iPod Touch to the laptop.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can fix my problems without needing to do a restore to factory sessions, I'd be very grateful to hear them.
