It should be...

But I'll take a quick peek anyway.
It's not, second announcement in a week.

I think the sticky on the site announcement rules got misplaced somewhere when the forums got rearranged.

I remember when edesignuk advertised his website (notanotherforum.com). That thread didn't get closed or anything.
I'm not that saying that it is against any rules. Just that it should be. ;)

Anyway, I took a look and it seemed nice enough.

But I noticed this little thing on the frontpage:
"News: New Stie Debut"
Might want to have someone fix that one.

Noticed that mispelling myself ... should be sty.

sty - a small abcess of the glands in the eyelids which can occur externally and internally.

I took a quick peak. Way too many typos. I might join under user name SpellingPolice.

I would join, doucy2, but I belong to like 5045903850938058 forums and if I sign up for another one, my Word file titled "Forum Access Passwords" will explode.

Congrats on the forum though. Looks like lots of members are joining. When I start a forum, like 3 people join and then it dies.

That's "peek".

LOL, sorry but the irony was too much for me.

;)

Nice concept on the forum, I may join but like ITASOR I'm spread pretty thin nowadays - too many passwords to remember! :D

Forgot to include the smiley and the site was not working after my post and couldn't edit it.

I am glad this website hasen't died yet. 12 members whoa!

hey wait a minute... 400th post.

I am glad that it has not died either.

Now we need to get that 12 to turn into a 120 (or perhaps a 24 first)! ;)

Doucy2 and everyone else, this is not meant to be mean, rude, etc. I'm speaking from personal hands-on experience and I will not exaggerate at all.

Without a domain, a forum is likely to fail. Especially if it's a free forum. SMFForFree isn't the most reliable of the free forums either. You don't get backups and have no control over your server environment. I've seen SMFFF crawl to turtle slow speeds.

Spelling and Grammar. You should think about hiring someone, like maybe even your mom or dad, to go in there and make everything grammatically correct. It just doesn't look professional.

Other than that, looks like a great site. I'll check it once and a while and register if there's something I want to add. Right now, I'm happy with MR though.

i don't get it... how is that different/better from macrumors... whats the incentive to join?

Its not necessarily meant to be better than MR. Rather it is to provide a forum dedicated mainly to the selling and purchasing of Mac Products, peripherals, memorabilia, etc... It also provides an additional forum to hang out, talk to others, discuss relevant (and irrelevant ;) ) Mac issues and topics. Perhaps, you could even think of it as an unofficial auxiliary to Mac Rumors. :)

I would encourage you to give it a shot (say try it for a week or two) before you make up your mind about its worthiness/relevance. :)

Of course, I am simply speaking from my viewpoint on this site. doucy2 could provide a better description if needed.

site is now MacBST.com
wow looks good
itasor is a good man
go there
