Hi,
If i was to buy the Hazro HZ27WC (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-011-HO) and plugged it in to my Macbook Pro via a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable (http://store.apple.com/uk/product/H...fnode=MTY1NDA3Ng&mco=MjA4MDc2MjA&s=topSellers) and into an adapter (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-028-OK&groupid=1929&catid=1753&subcat=) what would the max resolution be?

The monitor is a 2560x1440, but can you get this resolution through HDMI?

Sorry for the number of links here,
Any help appreciated

HDMI can offer the maximum resolution of that display, but the HDMI to DVI adapter might not, as you need a DUAL LINK DVI adapter to get that resolution.

So, say i get it working at 2560x1440, will this work for gaming through my Macbook Pro (late 2008), or will the high resolution be too much for it and slow it down? Should i be looking at a 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 instead?

The MBP with the 9600M GT can support external displays with a resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 pixel, but it will not be able to run many games at that resolution anyway. I was able to play COD 6 MW 2 on my 2009 MBP with a 9600M GT with 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050 pixel and it was okay.
