Has anyone had any problems with an error coming up saying "hbo go can not acsess the internet without the connection." My problem is that I do have a connection. On my ipad and iphone 4, i can only get on using 3g.

Can an employer block out an app, because I am at work in a hospital right now. It worked ok last night.

It sounds like a firewall issue with your employer. I remember using a wi-fi a couple years ago at a hospital, it was very limited to what I could visit.
