What do you guys recommend for a great HD 55 inch TV - non OLED?

We currently have a 4 year old LG OLED with significant burn in at the bottom from watching news channels in the mornings. This has been a great TV except for the burn in. Annoying to watch now - whenever the background colors range from yellow to red, the burn in is quite evident. I tried all the things that LG says for burn in but nothing has worked - still there.

We bought a Sceptre 55" TV from Walmart in 2018. Still working well, no burn in. Gets used 12-13 hours straight on weekends and 6 or so hours daily during the week.

When we bought ours, it was under $280 at the time.

I also use it as an additional display for my Mac.

If price isn’t an issue, the Samsung QN90A is in my opinion the best 4K LED tv you can buy right now. 55 inch is well under 2k. My buddy has one and the picture is stunning and HDR looks amazing with inky blacks and vibrant colors and it gets really bright for an impactful HDR experience. I have last year’s Q80t and love it. Samsung does not support Dolby Vision if that’s a factor for you but it makes no difference in my opinion.

From my experience, I think Samsung manufacturers some of the best LED TVs in the industry, not just in terms of ‘quality displays’, but overall they’re chipsets last forever and provide a good quality picture. There’s all different types of price ranges, a 55” TV would probably be in the mid price range north of ~$800, but it depends which series you choose from Samsung. Overall, in terms in the industry of LED TVs, they’re king, where they do however; fail in other areas like appliances, etc.
