iPod touch HD died, need to copy apps back to iTunes

Hello,

I had a total HD failure and nothing was recoverable.
I need to backup all my iPod apps back to iTunes and the sync option doesn't seem to do it anymore in iTunes 9.

If I click on sync in the new applications tab it says all apps on the touch will be replaced by those in iTunes, well there aren't any in iTunes because they're all on the iPod!

There must be an easier way than re-downloading all of them manually from the store.

Any help please?

Not to worry, I found the "Transfer purchased items from iPod Touch" option under the File menu.
