For the past 6 months, flash movies in HD on youtube and vimeo worked perfectly fine for me. Now they have stopped working on my 15 inch top of the line MBP. I've tried switching to the html5 beta trial but youtube doesn't have this option on all videos (almost never on the ones I want).
It doesn't matter if I have nothing else running in the background. the fps drops to about 1, but the sound plays relatively fine.
I have also noticed a general performance drop suddenly for no reason. I am extremely disappointed that my $2500 dollar investment has consistently let me down. I had faulty foot pads that had to be replaced after only 6 months of light use, and my power adapter chord split despite my utmost efforts each and every time to keep it straight without bends (to the point of OCD).
Are there any reasons for the drop in performance/ability to lay HD videos? Has anybody else experienced these problems also?
