I have an HD issue. 
invalid leaf record count... 1 volume needs repair
It was very screwy for a bit - no clock, blinking finder. I was running 10.4, but I don't have that disk, so I reintalled 10.3 archive and install. It's better, but there are a few things that still don't work properly - iPod syncing, iPhoto is missing system files and doesn't open, dictionary doesn't open.
I've run dsck - appears to be OK and disk utility from disk - 1 volume needs repair.
I'm a long long way from an Apple store. I have an external HD to back things up. I'm contemplating an erase and install. What should I do?
