Hi,
I have a hard drive in my mac pro that is strating to fail (makes noises, not found icon, etc.) One thing my boot drive does is startup normally (I can view its contents through the sidebar, toolbar is there, applications work) but the disc image itselp will not mount. It is seen in utilities but it wont let me do anything with it (unmount, etc) Apple is sending me a replacement but in the meantime, I decided to make a backup of my entire drive on an external firewire for saftey.

That drive has stored backups in the past and definetly works, the problem is now that I made a complete back up (using super duper) it too does not show up on my desktop, it is a partitioned drive and other partitions show up, so it cant be the backup drive itself.....the dics utility lets me mount and unmount but it just wont show up....

If anyone has any ideas as to solve this please let me know....Thanks
