HD layout in Lion

Been a mac user for over a decade now and Lion has really changed. Finding it quite interesting as I'm trying to learn terminal to efficiently arrange files and folders etc rather than me spending years constantly organising bank statements etc.
New users just getting into mac's won't be aware how much has changed and how safeguarded the system now is. Surely there must be an article out there with the schematics of the new Lion operating system?

What I'm trying to say is; it seems like they are making the new system idiot proof where you cannot mess it up.
Some would argue that it's a good thing. But what about learning actually how the machine works?
I watched Tron the other day lol :roll eyes:.
