How do I get my lockscreen wallpapers to be HD in my custom themes. Right now I am using the thumbnails of the pictures, and they are therefore fuzzy when I have a lockscreen wallpaper. I am running 4.2.1.

not sure what you mean, if the picture is HD to start with it will be when you assign it to your lockscreen wallpaper

I think that what you mean is starting with 4.2.1 Apple changed the way that wallpapers are selected within the underlying filesystem. If you use custom lockscreen and springboard themes that were made for 4.2 and before then you'll get a fuzzy background because it's referencing the thumbnail and not the actual HD wallpaper. You are no longer able to select the wallpaper that you want from your camera roll when using a lockscreen/springboard theme.

It is a bit of a pain, but here's what I did when I came across this issue. What you want to do it create a folder on your computer and put all of the wallpapers that you use regularly into it. Name it something short and easy and then copy that folder to var/mobile on your device. Next, you'll need to go into the plist of your theme that controls the lockscreen/springboard background (I cannot remember what it would be called). Look for the line that references the location of the wallpaper and change it to your current location of the folder and wallpaper that you just copied to var/mobile.

So for example, say the theme previously located the wallpaper at System/Library/Wallpapers/xxx.png. You'd want to change that to var/mobile/"name of your wallpaper folder you made"/"name of the wall you want"

Let me know if this needs more explaining. I don't use them anymore, so I don't have a plist that I can look at to be a little more specific, but hopefully you get the idea.

By the way, where are the photos from the camera roll located?

Ps
Right now it's

What's the new directory for backgrounds in 4.2.1 if I can't do the folder thingy

var/mobile/Media/DCIM

var/mobile/Media/DCIM

This is correct, but it will not work in the way that you intend. Again, sorry I can't be more specific, as I don't have a lockscreen/springobard theme here to look at, but I remember thinking the same thing, and trying it. Unfortunately it didn't work :(

Oh ok.
So I should make a new folder and copy any wanted wallpapers from my camera roll there?
