iPod touch HD music in the touch 5g ?

hi all
I am new to the pod which seems a good little all rounder
I like music a lot and I plan to use lossless and want to know if the higher resolution HD tracks can be played on it ?

Only Apple Looseless can be played on it, don't plan on playing flac or other type of looseless audio on it.

There are some app can play other lossless types eg: VLC,..., u can search google for more

I guess if you want to play higher sampling rates you would have to run it through an outboard DAC, then you might as well have a media server
I will have to be content with Apple lossless most of my music is FLAC so I will have to convert it thinking DBpoweramp ...
