What are the advantages and disadvantages of each, which one would you buy and why, and which one should I get? I was planning this whole time on a 17inch but if the 15 inch is better then might as well save some cash.

HD = more working space.

LED = less power consumption and better color reproduction.

Everything on the screen will be a lot small. The icons, etc. will be smaller, therefore adding more desktop space.

ohhh

ahhh I feel dumb, I didn't even think of that. Well, what makes more sense to purchase. Cause now I am not to sure.

There's a world of difference between purchasing a 15" and a 17".
Weight, size, price.

I'd personally go for a 15" at this point, but if I had the cash for a 17" I might consider it.

I want real pictures.... I want to see how the new resolution look on the 17". But it sucks big time the 17" isn't LED considering the HD display upgrade.

ARGH all these terms are driving me nuts.

ALL Macbooks are "HD". ALL Macbooks use LCD screens. The 15" models use LED backlighting.
