Hi,

Is there a free program available that can repartition a HD on the fly? I've found one program (iPartition from Coriolis) that does exactly what I want. However, I don't really want to throw down 45 bucks for an app I'll only use a few times.

Any pointers?

Would it be possible to use BootCamp to do this? Make a partition and then erase and format the contents while booting up from your DVD's? If you do this, make sure that you've backed everything up though! Twice!

Thanks for the reply but I think Boot Camp only works with intel Macs. I have a 1 GHz iMac. I put a new 250 GB hard drive in it but foolishly made the partition 50/50 (which ends up being 2 X 116 GB). I've filled up HD1, my startup disk, and now I'm kicking myself for making the partition. And for about twice the price of that software, I can buy another HD. Time to burn some backup DVDs, I guess.
