I have a G5 2.7 duel witha
Seritek external SATA150 card hooked to
a burley raid box with 1x 74GB raptor and 2x maxline III maxtors 250BG
all striped together, now I know these drive aren't best combination
ultimatley I would have 4x 250GB maxtors stripped. My issue is that
the 3 drives I benched with "drive genius" sustained read at around 182 MBsec which should be good enough for full HD playbeck I thought
but when I try and play back a 1080p uncompressed 8bit QT movie
it doesn't even come close to playing smoothly CHOPCHOP
SO if theres anyonre out there that might be able give me some hints
on how to remedy this would be greatly appreciated.
