HD playback through Parallels?

Considering getting myself a Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive for the Mac Pro, and while waiting for Apple to release support in their player, I'm wondering if anyone has tried HD playback on Windows running through Parallels? Clearly it should work via bootcamp, but the virtualization might cause issues. Anyone have experience?
