Hi!
I'm thinking about buying an iMac and a Happauge, and I've heard it records fine if you buy some software called Eye tv or something?
But just out of curiosity, I have an average laptop and I don't really want to fork out the $100 bucks for the software, can I record to the laptop and then just move the footage on to the mac to edit it?

Please, I don't want people hating on me "OMG IDIOT" "THATZ LONG AND STUPID" I just want to know if it is possible until I can get a spare $100 dollars.
Thanks!

Depends on the format the software for the Windows laptop (if that is the OS the average notebook runs, you haven't specified that) uses.
What software do you want to you use to record HD TV onto the average notebook?

Oh sorry, I'm using windows 7, and I don't know what software I'd be using, I thought the Happaugge came with one? I'm sorry.
