hi I ask for the 2nd hard 1tb recommendations for my Mac Pro... a lot people recommend me the Samsung Spinpoint F1, look nice but where can buy? on amazon appear just used... a new model comming out?

I bought my Western Digital hard drives because they were cheap. They're still working fine...

Is there something inherently wrong with cheaper equivalent products? I'd suggest a Fry's Electronics store if there's one nearby.

Hi,

I'd been looking at this drive too and was actually going to get it today. I was going to go for a stock Mac Pro and upgrade to this drive which is the one you are talking about.

In the end I've decided to not bother with the MP just yet. I'm thinking I will wait until the next speed bump, or maybe even the next refresh/redesign if it happens early next year. A speed bump would tempt me if it happens before/on/or shortly after WWDC.

However, this drive will be first on my shopping list when I do upgrade...
