HD TV and macbook pro

So I have connected my macbook pro to my hd tv and everything works fine.

The problem is that I use the tv for tv and xbox and when I change the source macbook acts like I disconnect the tv.

So how can I change this to work like tv is always "on"? Or can it even be done?

Thats a function of your TV and **** all you can do it, clearly powers down it's ports when you switch to another source.
