HD w/ Yosemite crashed... wait to install 10.11 fresh on new drive? Will my TM backup work?

Hi,

I just lost my hard drive in my MBP and have a new one on order that will arrive later this week. Would it behoove me to wait until 10.11 is released and have a fresh install of El Cap, while trying to migrate as much data over from my Time Machine backup?

Or... Do I need to restore my latest TM backup to the new drive, then decide if I want to upgrade it to El Cap or wipe it and install El Cap clean?

I'd simply install Yosemite onto the new hdd, migrate your data from time machine, then upgrade to El Capitan.
